Story Behind The Song
My nephew Michael Patrick Daly of South River, NJ, passed away last year from cancer, after a couragious five year fight. He was an amazing kid. I wish you could have known him. He wasn't famous but by the lines around the block at his wake and funeral, you would certainly think a celebrity had passed away. So many people, young and old paid their respects, but the kids got to me. They waited like angels for hours and hours quietly moving in the procession to say goodbye to their friend, their teammate, their coach, their classmate...they looked like angels.
