Lyrics
From the day I met you Lord until the day I see your face,
I wont be satisfied with anything less than walking in your grace,
For there is a prize set before me that is not of this world I see around me, but it is waiting there for me,
and if I turn my eyes away I can miss where I am going,
I don't know if it is near or if it's far.
I only know that past the shadows your light is shining through
and in the end I want to be where you are
refrain:
Lead me Lord in the way that I should go,
touch my heart so your heart I will know
I will pick up my cross and count it all as loss
If I know you are leading me Lord
In a breath in an instant before I even realize
I could be standing there before your throne and looking with my eyes,
Upon the one I have lived for and the one I have worshipped and adored.
Upon the one who is my Lord.
And if I ever thought before I could make it in my own strength
now I know that you have held me all along.
It was your grace and tender mercy that brought me all this way and have enabled me to sing you this song.
refrain:
Lead me Lord in the way that I should go,
touch my heart so your heart I will know
I will pick up my cross and count it all as loss
If I know you are leading me Lord
I will pick up my cross and count it all as loss
If I know you are leading me Lord.
