Story Behind The Song

In coming up with this song for my solo CD, I had been teaching my students Blues and Rockabilly guitar. While improvising all tracks, I took the basic structure for the rhythm and fit the lead parts in afterwards. It wound up being used in my class as instructional material for Blues and managed to segue into some basics of Jazz.

Song Description

The rhythm track uses the standard chord progression in "E", based on works similar to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Rockabilly guitarists like Carl Perkins. The melody is improvised with the traditional Blues scale used in the solo.
