Elvin, the Elfin Elf

Elvin the Elfin Elf likes to play tricks upon the reindeer.
He hides their food at lunchtime then starts laughing while they hunt for it.
He thinks it?s very funny
when he speads all their beds with honey,
Moments before they catch him, elfin Elvin makes a run for it.
Elvin the Elfin Elf one day went too far with a prank.
He lit a small firecracker, a stampede happened on the double then.
A barn full of fire and smoke
was not Santa?s idea of a joke
One look at Santa?s face, Elvin knew he was in big trouble then.
?Elvin, you are elfin,? Santa said so grim and stern.
?Still you should have known that set on fire most hay will burn!
What am I to do with you to make sure that you learn??
Just then the mail arrived , one letter was from the child of a fireman.
?I want an elfin Elf,? it said ?to help my Daddy acquire good luck.?
There was the answer clear as day
So Elvin jumped onto Santa?s sleigh,
and Elvin the Elfin Elf , today, is mascotting on a fire truck.
