Christmas morning and the snow gently floats to earth, blanketing the ground in white. The world remains asleep, but only for a moment more. Soon the sun climbs over the horizon and plays around the edges of the curtain in baby's room, bringing light and life to the still and silent morning and reminding all that this day is Christmas. Baby slowly wakes with the light. He does not fully understand Christmas but somehow knows that this day is special. Once gathered to the waiting arms of Mama and Papa, baby joins in the celebration of Christ's birth. Falling with a joyful dance, the snow continues to paint a beautiful Christmas picture outside. Inside, music, gifts, and toys with lights, buttons, and sounds all add to the harmonies of the day. However, sleepiness is not far away for a little baby, no matter the day's fun and excitement. He begins to slow down, yawn, and stretch. What a beautiful and enjoyable celebration this has been, but now is time for sleep. Baby is carried to his bed. Drifting into dreamland, he still hears the sounds of Christmas, sees the lights, and rests in peace and hope, with joy ever in his heart.
