Lyrics

I thought I was living it up
I was giving it up
All for you
I thought the sky would clear
New atmosphere
Clouds rolling

I'm caught on the riptide.
I'm washed away
I'm caught on the riptide
A castaway, yeah

I failed the test of time, of reason and rhyme
You're calling
I've seen the telltale signs
The pull of the tide
Waves rolling

I'm caught on the riptide.
I'm washed away
I'm caught on the riptide
A castaway, yeah

You're left on the rocks now baby
You're stranded for sure
So fragile and lost and grounded
Keep to the left side
While I'm drifting on

I'm caught on the riptide.
I'm washed away
I'm caught on the riptide
A castaway, yeah

I can't face this storm no more
I can't take this storm no more
I can't fight this storm no more
I can't fight this storm alone

I'm caught on the riptide.
I'm washed away
I'm caught on the riptide
I'm dragged away, yeah

I'm caught on the riptide.
I'm washed away
I'm caught on the riptide
A castaway, yeah

I can't fight this storm alone

I like the arrangement of the track. The verse melody is very capturvating. I also like the tone of the vocalist, her tone suits the mood of the track. The sounds are well chosen and complement each other really well. I like the vocal harmonies and arrangement of the chorus towards the end of the song

Reminds me a bit of the French electronica band Air. Good lyrics and they have a clear sea theme which is consistent through out. The arrangement is really solid. The build up and breakdown are really well laid out. The female vocal is really sweet. I like the tone and accent she has comes through which is a really nice touch. I can hear the Giorgio Moroder style in this.

Nice movin' groove. Instrumentation is good. Like the voice quality and overall clear recording quality. Like the breakdowns and build ups.

* Wow - this is amazing! I love it! It's right up my street and I would rush to the dance floor to dance to this in a club. Well done!
* The voice is beautiful and the melody works so well with the well worked out chord progressions.
