You Must Be Jokin'

Story Behind The Song

This tune started out as a xylophone piece and metamorphosed into 'You Must Be Jokin', how did that happen?

Song Description

This piece was originally written for Jenny, one of my students.

Tempo Very Fast (171 And Up) Lead Vocal Instrumental
Mood In High Spirits, Jovial Subject Fun, Comedy, Funny

Nice use of MIDI instrumentation and really cool arrangement. I could definitely hear this as a soundtrack for a children's cartoon.

I like this. It has a nice upbeat feeling. Kind of a light happy feel. This would probably be great for in an advertisement that wants people to feel uplifted. Good stuff. Keep it up

killer hook

I have had trouble catagorizing this type of style myself. It isn't really Dixeyland, but it isn't really anything else, either. It's more of an electronic, comedy, 1930's "The Sting" style.
Nicely done, and creative.

Happy and bouncy it is!!!
Cartoon music or zany Benny Hill

varied instrumentation

bright jazz tune....enjoyable.
