TEXAS TIRED

Verse 1:
I?m tired of songs about Texas
And Texans who brag all night long
Their jerkwater towns and suicide blondes
David Allen and Willie make me laugh ?til I?m silly
Verse 2:
I?ve had my fill ?a armadilla
Pandulce, chorizos and eggs
The next thing I eat will be a big treat
Just don?t put no barbecue sauce on its legs
Chorus:
Damn Yankees beware, if you?re goin? down there
Them Texans are proud and just a little bit loud
They?ll take you right in?you can stay a long while
But leave your ego at home? and for goodness sakes smile
(Instrumental Break on melodic verse)
(Repeat Chorus)
Verse 3:
I?m tired of folks with good manners
And them that use ?Yes M?ams and Sirs?
They?ll smile and say, ?Howdy? they don?t get too rowdy
Unless you forget who?s his and who?s hers
(Repeat Chorus Twice)
Joke:
Hey Vern, What's a suicide blonde?
Well, Bob, that's a woman who's died by her own hand!
