I am a very introspective person, and I guess I'm always trying to improve myself and find my place in the world. It seems so difficult in a world where there is constant pressure to be pushed in certain directions. Well, I wanted to capture the frustration and anxiety of this feeling in a simple song.

This song is simply about the frustration one feels in trying to find themselves and people like them. It's a song about introspection and romantic idealism. I found it difficult to categorize or describe the music of this song, and frankly, that's one of the things I really like about this song. While aesthetically it borrows a lot from traditional blues, it is arranged more like a catchy, groove-oriented pop song. The result is a blues-sounding song with all the hook and appeal of a pop song. I played the song through a hollow body guitar accompanied by my stomping foot, which is just a tap shoe against a wooden board.
