Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song in response to the enormous racial and denominational dis-unity in the Christian Church. It has a Gospel feel and embodies the hope of Christian unity

Lyrics
We can do together what we cannot do apart
We can change the way things are if we have a change of heart
Just like Nehemiah, who needed everyone to rebuild the walls
We can do toge - ther what we cannot do apart
There?s many congregations, but the Church is only one
From every tongue and nation we?re united in the Son
It?s time to build a bridge of love, for it?s the will of God above
And there?s so much more work that must be done
We are in a battle for the soul?s of everyone
And if we work together we can see the battle won
Let?s join our forces side by side, heal the wounded, kill our pride
Through the love of God it can be done
Vamp: We can do together (Repeat)
Vocal fill duet: Healin? the sick, feedin? the poor, sharin? the Gospel, so much more
Black and White united at last, leavin? the prejudice in the past
Brother to brother, hand in hand, bringin? the Gospel to this land
Yeah, yeah, yeah
