Story Behind The Song
I was very depressed at one point, and I thought if only one person could convince me that there was hope in the world for happiness and life and laughter than I would be able to believe in it. If one person could show me that, then I would be able to get up and get back into my life as it was before.
Song Description
FInding hope in things that we see everyday that are actually eternal; children dancing, mothers and lovers, poetry. Seeing the beauty of these things can bring hope and begin the journey out of sadness into joy and clarity.

Lyrics
Write me a song that talks about mothers and lovers and people who care about one another
and maybe I can get back up and dust myself off
Write me a song about children who know when to dance and who are safe and understood
and maybe I will dance
Maybe I will stop off this yellow line and take my chances
Maybe I'll see the sky
Maybe I'll fell the sun wrap around me
Maybe I'll see the tide
Washing away everything that's around me
Write me a song about poetry I can't read and songs I can't sing
and maybe I will get back up and change my clothes
Write me an overture and I will conduct the orchestra
and you can cue the choir
and maybe I will close the door to this casket and walk into the world
I don't know how to feel
in the middle of the road
I am stuck here in the middle of it
Give me a reason to walk out the front door
