Story Behind The Song
John 15 is my favorite passage of scripture. It speaks of the necessity to remain in Christ, as a branch would remain in a vine. I see this exhortation as a priceless key to living a good life.
Song Description
The words tell an analogy of how a grapevine's branches draw their life and energy from the vine. In the same way, we all need to draw our life and energy from an outside source, and we must remain in that vine.

Lyrics
Ch: Remain, remain in Me and I will remain in you
Remain, remain in Me and I will remain in you
This is to my Father's glory, that you would bear much fruit
Showing yourselves to be my disciples
Vs 1: I am the Vine, you are the branches
Whoever remains in Me will bear much fruit
Apart from Me you can do nothing
(chorus)
Br: No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine
Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you
Now remain in My love
(chorus)
