Story Behind The Song

I wrote this song on the altar playing background music for my pastor as he was ministering. I just got the chorus then. After fiddling with what chords I needed to place, I finally felt the chorus coming alive. The verse came 3 years later in 2008, after experiencing quite a number of things, it dawned on me that God had been so good to me, I really just wanted to love Him like He did me, by giving His Son Jesus Christ in my stead, so I give Him my all. The melody for the verse went through some issues, it took me a while before I settled on the present one, it just felt right when I landed on it, that's how I wrote the song.

Medium slow tempo song with catchy lyrics and melody. Starts with the chorus/hook, then a pre-verse, the verse and chorus. The bridge comes next, then second verse then the hook. The pre-verse one is about one's commitment and dedication to God and a fresh surrendering into His (God's) arms. Very refreshing. The verse testifies of God's faithfulness and the bridge affirms the singer's need for God while the chorus states a longing for Him. The track runs 3:38mins and the instrument voices you hear are the drums, guitar, strings, pads and pianos.
