My heart, my heart still jumps, when I just think of you,
My thoughts are all of you
Both day and night. I dream about you
Even in the light of day,
And in the evenings when the dew creates
a mist that blurs my view of sea and meadows.
I still hope you might, wreathed in the mist,
Come visit me tonight and say you love me,
And you will be true.
I only met you once and hastily.
I wonder if you can remember me,
Or is my love just squandered wastefully?
Will I find other loves to dream of
