Story Behind The Song
I was seeing this woman who I looked up to. She had a way of making me want to be a better person. But the relationship ran cold real quick, and when I say cold I mean she would rather go to the gym at 4am than be in bed with me.
I started to see that she was just a lonely, angry person with many judgments and no real self reflection.
Song Description
In this song I come to terms with the loss of respect and disappointment I came to feel from someone I once loved.
I trusted her, loved her, looked up to her and just wanted to make her happy. As I started to see that she was basically on her high horse and not giving me the love I was giving back I dealt with some of that emptiness by writing this song.
I made it short and didn't attempt to say too much, because that was how she was with me.

Lyrics
I got a lot on this mere mind
And I'm not telling.
You've got the nerve and baby this time it's got you.
It's getting old the same old cold and dry to the touch.
With eyes that wander everywhere but to you.
It's true...
And you, you let me down.
I thought you were right
You fell so self righteous.
Turning tables like a top
It's clear I have earned this one.
The only karma that comes around is when the joke is on me.
You see...
And you, you let me down,
I thought you were right
You fell so self righteous.
And you, you let me down,
I thought you were right
You fell so self righteous.
And you, you let me down,
I thought you were right
You fell so self righteous.
