Uncle Sam Is Not a Businessman

Story Behind The Song

I wrote this song on April 15th when I was trying to pay the rest of what I owed the Federal Government and the Government was buying car companies. "The Government should be in the business of government and not in the business of Business".

Lyrics

Uncle Sam Is Not a Business Man

He never ever had to wear a suit and tie
To stand beside our soldiers who fought and died
He keeps us safe, he keeps us strong
In foreign lands whether right or wrong

He's always tried his best just to keep the peace
In the land of Vietnam and the Middle East
You know he tries to do, the best he can
In Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan

But, Uncle Sam is not a Business Man

He's always fought for freedom and fights for us
His role has never been ambiguous
He's crying out loud, for just one thing
And that's "Screw all the banks--let freedom ring."

Our Forefathers gathered and they wrote the rules
And gave all of us the proper tools
There is a sentiment, growing across this land
To let "The Whigs on the Hill" know where we stand

Screaming, Uncle Sam is not a Business Man

We need sit down and read the Constitution
And stand together for "The Peoples' Revolution"
We really don't need another tax
Or to put more weight on our children's backs

We all should be able to help each other
Your friend your neighbor your sister and brother
Stop piling it on Old Uncle Sam
This was not supposed to be the plan

Because, Uncle Sam is not a Business Man

Uncle Sam is not a Business Man
Uncle Sam is not a Business Man
Uncle Sam is not a Business Man
No, Uncle Sam is not a Business Man
