Lyrics

Peas Porridge:

(Verse 1)
I had a dream the other night
That I was tied up on a boat
I had a pistol to my head
And a knife held to my throat
The captain and his first mate
Forced me to walk the plank
But just before I jumped in
Their boat capsized and sank

Peas porridge hot
Peas porridge cold
Peas porridge in the pot
Nine days old
Some like it hot
Some like it cold
Some like in the pot
Nine days old

(Verse 2)
I had a dream the other night
That I was ticking like a clock
A bomb was in my pocket
Another in my sock
The London England bomb squad
Said I didn't have a prayer
And when the clock stopped ticking
I disappeared into thin air

Peas porridge hot
Peas porridge cold
Peas porridge in the pot
A wonder to behold
Some like it hot
Some like it cold
Some like in the pot
With penicillin mold

(Verse 3)
Dreams can drive you crazy
Dreams can drive you wild
Dreams can turn a grown man
Into seven year old child
Dreams turn into nightmares
And nightmares make you scream
Insomnia's the only cure
Or so to me it seems

Peas porridge hot
Peas porridge cold
Peas porridge in the pot
It's worth it's weight in gold
Some like it hot
Some like it cold
Some like in the pot
Nine days old

(Verse 4)
There just might be a zombie
Hiding underneath your bed
Just like the one you saw in
"Night Of The Living Dead".
You think you can outrun it
But you can't escape your fate
You'll beg and plead for mercy
But it's already too late

Peas porridge hot
Peas porridge cold
Peas porridge in the pot
Nine days old
Some like it hot
Some like it cold
Some like in the pot
Nine days old

It tastes like pickled toad

"Peas Porridge" is a must-listen for anyone who loves rock music with a twist. It's a perfect representation of Charles Edmund Carter's unique style and talent and will leave you wanting more.

Charles Edmund Carter will never fail to surprise you.

I am listening over and over to the musicians & preprogrammed sound cuts which are great. The lead guitarist is great knowing the accent points which has to do with the engineer/production work as well. I'm impressed with this novelty song which is worth marketing if you have the funding & staff. Also take it out to test market with the general public to see their response and use that to get the major distribution release picked up. It should get a positive response like the old song Monster Mash had when it was released a long time ago. Then ending with the Halloween type laughter was good too. Your lyrics are fun and also it is Parental Guide ok and would fit many formats for the Halloween time period of each repeated year. Get your team on marketing this for next Halloween to release. I can see even a video / cartoon etc. being developed from the lyrics. In my opinion it's marketable and may make a great release profit return once contracted. Thank you again for allowing me to pro review this song as I enjoyed this one looking forward to the next ones too.
