Song Description

Humans are technologically able to listen for sounds from space. One day, they hear some from an intelligent life form, in the form of radio waves. The aliens tell humans to build a space travel device and come visit them. Many people are skeptical, but then they turn it on, and it works. Humans travel through a wormhole instantaneously and visit the aliens.

Story Behind the Song

Loosely based on the book/film CONTACT by Carl Sagan. It is about discovering extraterrestrial life that is benevolent and wants to help us.

Lyrics

Radio telescope, searching the sky
Looking for life signs, a curious eye
A message is received, to everyone's surprise
Had they really heard it? Intelligent design

A string of ones and zeroes
Mapping out a plan
They are very near us
What does it mean? How can this be?

Binary code, can you understand?
We're trying to find out, if you are advanced
Follow the blueprint, build us a craft
Now we activate it, were you the one who laughed?

A wormhole opens wide
And we go inside
No sense of space and time
What does it mean? How can this be?
