Story Behind The Song
As a spiritually-oriented medical scientist and biophysicist, I've had a life-long interest in the A.R.E. and Edgar Cayce. This included traveling to Egypt and the Great Pyramid in 1998 with then A.R.E. director and Edgar's grandson, Dr. Charles Thomas Cayce.
When I composed this song in 2001, I had no idea that "The hero's death is not in vain, the battle will be won" referred to the physician-inflicted near death experience and recovery I would soon find myself battling for and then achieving with my own technology. Yet this was predicted by my precognitive life dream from 1983 described on the bio page.
Song Description
This song was my response to a dream workshop in Virginia Beach, Virginia at the Association for Research and Enlightenment founded by Edgar Cayce. "You are the Miracle" has an orchestral arrangement with an oriental flavor.

Lyrics
I've listened and I've learned of these nightly things,
And I've tried to understand,
The struggles that we try to resolve within,
How it seems forever,
While we wait to see the light let it shine within,
We have just a glimpse of love,
In the night when spirit guides you,
Hope this is what you'll find,
Refrain:
You are the miracle,
You are the angel in the sky,
You are the dream in which you fly,
You are the hero,
You are the villain in disguise,
From your own ashes you will rise,
You are the miracle,
-
Through the dreams of each one here,
I can see myself how it seems so clear,
Through the laughter through the tears,
We are choosing love to release our fears,
Though we wait for time revealed,
In our dreams we're there and it's all been sealed,
The hero's death is not in vain,
The battle will be won,
Refrain:
You are the miracle...
