Story Behind The Song
This is a song born in a moment, not meditated on for hours... It came in full form, at once, as they often do... This particular recording I made this morning to submit, because the album version, due out this month, is more symphonic, and I thought slowing it, and playing the Ukulele would fit the song well for this submission.... That said, I did record this with rudimentary equipment at home, I can have a high quality studio version cut if need be... Thanks for giving me a listen!

Lyrics
(Chorus)
Mourning dove, Mourning dove,
I can see you flying once again
Mourning dove, Mourning dove,
I can see you flying with your friends
You're not happy
And you know it's true
You're singing songs
But they're all blue
And they play your songs
On the radio
The people sing along
Everywhere you go
(Chorus)
I
The days they pass me
And the years do to
But I'm holding on
To the way I knew
And they play my songs
On the radio
The people sing along
Everywhere I go
Mourning dove, Mourning dove,
I can see you flying once again
Mourning dove, Mourning dove,
I can see you flying with your friends
With you friends
