Lyrics
I was staring at myself long enough in the mirror today
That I noticed quite a difference
in each side of my face.
The chisel must have slipped
when grazing my right side
Because instead of being cheeky,
My bone structure's sleeping under that eye.
My eyes are not equidistant from the spine of my nose
And I have the very smallest, bitty, little toes.
When I breathe more air comes through my right nostril than my left.
And I certainly don't have the most symmetrical of breasts.
CHORUS:
I'm crooked
But I kind of like it that way.
I look different depending on the hour of the day.
I'm white water
I'm not a steady stream.
Rainbows of light reflect off of me.
And it just goes to show
How pretty crooked can be.
My left foot is a quarter inch smaller than my right.
Each eye wears a different prescription
to balance my sight.
Most of my features would be photoshopped smaller
And if my right leg were as long as my left
I would be taller.
My eyebrows might be even if I learned how to tweeze.
I can't always twist to the right
with the greatest of ease.
My left shoulder pops out when I'm in downward dog.
I hope no one out there is recording a log.
But
CHORUS:
I'm crooked
And I kind of like it that way.
I look different depending on the way that I face.
I'm so crooked
I could never balance on a pedestal.
I only look straight from inside a broken mirror
But they come from far away
To see the Leaning Tower of Pisa
And it just goes to show
How pretty crooked can be.
How pretty crooked I am.
How crooked pretty can be.
Pretty can be.
