My girl, and I had an argument then discussed if we were going to stay together, or not. So, I left the house and started thinking about our love, and friendship; she did the same. While I was out, I came up with this song, and when returned home I sang it to her, and we both cried and she said yes! I don't want to lose you either "Can We Make Our Love Last", and I knew then with tears rolling down my eyes, that we would stay together for a long time, and that this song was a hit!

It's about your love withstanding the test of time; through all of the affairs she/he found out about, all of the arguments, and pain that can be hard to bare in a relationship, etc. However, when it's all said in done she's the one you love, and need to ( the both of you ) to stop messing up, and have the kind of relationship that last; like our parents did, because it was true love.
