Story Behind The Song
It is the simple contemplation of how a relationship 'blows over' and a recognition that quick judgements about who or what is to blame can be wrong.
Song Description
This is track 5 from the album by Twelvehourmary entitled 'Blowing Over', an independently released rock project. This song is like Soundgarden meets Los Lobos - it's very rock but has a latin rhythmic undercurrent. The chorus does the explaining... "I think you oughta slow the way you see things down, play your head acoustic, I've been wrong but we've been round and I'm tired and ready and not where I used to be"... the feeling of a relationship blowing over - both deflating and empowering at the same time.

Lyrics
how do you know that what you're getting into's the right thing
when you you know that who you're turning into has the will to last
letting it get fucked up is what you're used to
I think you ought to slow the way you see things down
play your head acoustic
I've been wrong but we've been round
and I'm tired and ready and not where I used to be
blowing over
