Lyrics
The economy's still crashing
And long unemployment lines
There's no work nowhere
But Wall Streets doing just fine
Bankers and their friends
Say the markets are free
They're making all the money
But it's killing you and me
How'd We Get Here?
Some people got so much
But the rest of us are getting poor
The greedy are eating our lunch
The homeless a wanderin'
Shelters are closing down
Government got no money
They're setting fire to downtown
The factories are closing
Jobs are going overseas
The rich are getting richer
But the worker's on his knees
Chorus
Fat cats count their millions
Champagne on 5th Avenue
The rest of us are counting on
Food stamps just to make it through
No answer to this crisis
Won't somebody confess?
They just hired the same bankers
To come clean up their own damn mess.
