Story Behind The Song
Chris wrote the chord progression for the second movement and showed it to John, who played around with it and came up with the first movement. Paul wrote the melody. The "Sarah" in the title refers to the song "Sarah" from the Civil War musical, and acts as a tribute to a friend of the band's that performed this song.
