I would like to be reborn,
as the new day in the early morn;
I would like to feel as clean as the dew washed grass, glistening and green.

I would like to sing notes clear, as the early morning birds I hear.
I would like my heart to feel light, free from burdens-wings out-stretched in flight.

I would like to open as a rose, soaking in fresh air as it grows, Reaching its' petals far and wide, sharing beauty with the world outside.

Then I'd like to stretch out as the sun, warming the hearts of everyone
Whose face I see along life's was, brightening minutes I touch in their day.

Now I know I can be reborn as the new day in the early morn.
God ended the night, brought forth the day, reminding me of His love this way.
