Story Behind The Song

I was getting ready for a Thanksgiving concert. One evening I went through a ton of old folk songs to find a good set for my gig. Next morning this song, just came out. The message of this song, was a result of my thoughts about the path that we take to get where we want. That we go through good and bad, that we have to touch some dark places in ourselves to find the light. But we can only be happy by being honset about our lives and about following our dreams.
