Story Behind The Song
This song originated back in the band's early days. The original electric guitar piece was presented during practice one day, after which Code almost immediately nailed the rhythm piece as well. The rest of the song took awhile to finalize, and parts of it actually took shape in the studio.
This song was originally recorded with guest drummer Chris Martin, a more jazz-oriented drummer who lent his services in the studio. The song was re-recorded with drummer Michael Galante, and was the last song to be included on the current version of the EP.
Song Description
Ticket to My Soul is a very tasteful, almost sensitive song that is built around an untraditional electric guitar riff that sits atop an ambient acoustic riff. The song flaunts very passionate vocals and a truly soulful outro.

Lyrics
Ticket to My Soul
you might think it's crazy
but I am not insane
I'll follow in your footsteps ?baby
if you do the same
I want you to know
You got a ticket to my soul
Want you to be
something more than love
take my hand
take it while you can
and try to understand
from the moment that I sought it
you took me on the run
and though I never caught it
something?s just begun
I want you to know
you got a ticket to my soul
want you to see
you?re something more than love
take my hand
take it while you can
and try to understand
(Bridge)
It?s the song that you gave me
It?s the words that you?re craving
you may be wrong
if I?m right
don't say you're forsaking
the love that you're taking
you can't deny
what we'll have
I want you to know
You got a ticket to my soul
Want you to see
You?re something more than love
Take my hand
Take it while you can
And try to understand
