Lyrics

You're sitting there chewing like a dog with a bone,
You can't just make a point son, you've got to get a nail along and hammer it home.
Why'd you have to go and open your mouth?
You know some things are better when they're left unsaid, but you've got to get it out you can't keep it in your head.
And you know the feeling just before it pours?
You can feel it in the air, you can feel it on your face, you can feel it in your bones, there's a storm a comin'
And you can run for cover but there's often none.
Now you got to soak it up son, you're gonna get wet son, watch out here it comes.

Oh baby please don't walk away, give me a chance now to try apologize.
Just turn around and face me honey, I need to see the look that's in your eyes.
And I'm as sorry as a man can be, but you know I've always been this way.
But you'd be glad to know that little by little I'm learning my trade, and one day soon I'm gonna make the grade. One day soon I'm gonna make the grade.

You're sitting there chewing like a dog with a bone,
You can't just make a point son, you've got to get a nail along and hammer it home.

Tell me now, why do the thoughts always follow the words? Only a fool speaks too soon, that's what I've heard. Just take a step out of the room now, and breath real slow. Breath real slow...

I know you like the smell of napalm, but you know it burns the skin son, watch out here it comes.

Oh baby please don't walk away, give me one more chance to try apologize.
At least turn around and face me honey, I need to see the look that's in your eyes.
Cos I've been trying hard every day, just so I can be a better man
And you'll be glad to know that little by little I'm learning my trade, and one day soon I'm gonna make the grade. One day soon I'm gonna make the grade.
