I Believe Lyrics

Chorus:

I believe, if there's a will, there's a way
And I believe, that tomorrow's another day
'cause if you struggle at first, you gotta try again
you'll never win, if you just quit, and give in

I believe, if there's a will, there's a way
And I believe that tomorrow's another day
'cause if you struggle at first, you gotta try again
you won't ever succeed, if you just quit and give in
Verse 1

I've never quit, but I've struggled many a time
Persevered for the most and continued to rhyme
I spent a lot of time walking, a very thin line
But stayed true to the cause 'cause I'm out to get mine
It's a balancing act, a step forward, a step back
The trouble is keeping the belief intact, in fact,
I know the feeling 'cause I've been there before
It's a hard pill to swallow receiving a shut door
And it ain't a good feeling, but it will go away
Things change like I said, tomorrow's another day
I came blazing 'cause it was the only option I had
Frowned on from the beginning, so I came with the wrath
The little numbers mean a lot when you sketch out the graphs
Puzzles show a picture when they are assembled intact
You gotta have yourself thinking like that, positivity's key,
Or else really, where would you be?

Chorus 1x

Verse 2

Many times, my faith's been in a chokehold
Blurry unsure, like someone in need of bifocals
It's all local, just a test of yourself
Will you crumble, what kind of will do you possess?
I took the test, and I passed with flying colors
I learned long ago not to, succumb to others
Some will make it, and some won't as is expected
Charles Darwin called this principle natural selection
Survival of the fittest, are you fit to survive?
What will you do, when troubles arrive, like bee's on a hive?
I'll survive, I spread my wings and then I feel it
Faith is my lift, I'll survive through the illest
I'm on the real shit, 'cause I came to succeed
Expose my true colors when I bleed, 'cause I believe
And it's like that, and it's like that

Chorus 1x

Verse 3

It's been seven years since the first version of this song
So I stopped to update it, and share what's going on
Nineteen when I wrote it, and now in my mid twenties
Trying to get to a million, out of these mere pennies
Hell and back, all of that, more than imagined
Been close to giving up but couldn't let that happen
I've run through the industry treadmill, had my leg rebuilt;
Feels like I'm walking on stilts
Some steps are painful, and my gait has changed
But the fire in my heart still remains the same
I believe that what I'm doing's what I'm meant to do
And though it's dark at times, there's light that shines through
And I'm reminded, I wrote that chorus in my teens
A mix of struggle and pain, and hope and dreams
And then I smile to myself, knowing this is me
Where there's a will, there's a way, in that I'll always believe

Chorus 2x
