Story Behind The Song
Story Behind Song:
I chose this song for my new CD, "Nothin' But The Blues Without You" because of the story and song quality as delivered by Blind Willie Johnson, one of our best Blues/Gospel songwriters who kicked of this spiritual style in the early 1900s. The song also matches the Video storyline which reaches out to Veterans, First-Responders & their families, and the sacrifices they share.
Therefore, this song is dedicated to all who have suffered sorrow & loss, but especially those have become injured in defense of Liberty or who have stood in harms' way so that others might live.
May you all be comforted and blessed ten fold, for what you have sacrificed, for the sake of Life, Liberty & Freedom."

Song Description
Long Descriptions:
AS SEEN ON YOUTUBE: From this Short Film opening, slide steel guitar, driving delta blues & raspy, soulful vocals, propel this captivating song into the heart, all as a backdrop for haunting images describing the daily issues & sorrows that our veterans, first-responders, & their families face, sometimes on a daily basis. When one member serves, the whole family serves. By popular demand, this song is now available in this short version for quick play on demand, with it's predecessor in film still available, "How Long Is The Night," which shares some images with this presentation; but the prior film also adds to this story-line with additional images which show our wonderful American volunteers at work such as: Patriot Guard Riders, Rolling Thunder, Blue & Gold Star Families, Tennessee Helping Hearts, Honor-Release-Return, etc., all offering their support to our families that serve.

Lyrics
"Lord, I Just Can't Keep From Cryin' Sometimes"
Verse One:
My Grandma often told me,
"Angels bonded your life away."
She said I would accomplish
But to trust in God and pray
I'm on the King's Highway
Traveling every day
Yet I just can't keep from cryin' sometimes
Chorus:
Well, I just can't keep from cryin' sometimes
When my hearts' filled with sorrow
And my eyes are filled with tears
Lord, I just can't keep from cryin' sometimes
Verse Two:
Grandma she's in Glory
Thank God I'm on my way yeah
My Father, he's gone too
And my family could not stay
I'm trustin' in him everyday
Well, to bear my burdens away
Yet I just can't keep from cryin' sometimes
Chorus:
Well, I just can't keep from cryin' sometimes
When my hearts' filled with sorrow
And my eyes are filled with tears
Lord, I just can't keep from cryin' sometimes
Verse Three:
I thought when my baby left me
I'd pray for a little while
Soon it would all be over
And we'd journey on with a smile
I've never lost my hope
I think about what's been told
Yet I just can't keep from cryin' sometimes
Chorus:
Well, I just can't keep from cryin' sometimes
When my hearts' filled with sorrow
And my eyes are filled with tears
Lord I just can't keep from cryin' sometimes
Lord, I just can't keep from cryin' sometimes
When my hearts' filled with sorrow
And my eyes are filled with tears
Lord, I just can't keep from cryin' sometimes
Lord, I just can't keep from cryin' sometimes
Lord, I just can't keep from cryin'
Sometimes....
