Story Behind The Song

Notes: This is a collaboration from the UKSC facebook community between Will Watkins, who was awarded a semi-final place in the 2012 competition with a previous version of these lyrics, and Angela Skinner. We have revisited these lyrics and worked on them together to enhance the emotion. They were then put to music by Angela Skinner. Song Description

This song is written from the lone perspective of a female vocal, who is devastated that her love has gone. She struggles to know where to turn or what to do now that she is alone with her feelings of overwhelming loss. There is a sense the lost person knows they were leaving, whether through choice. premonition or incurable disease. The lead vocal sees no light at the end of the tunnel, she misses her love's voice...their laugh...their kindness....she doesn't want to live another day without her lost love. But ultimately she wants her love to be happy...to find happiness...to fly away....She could be singing to a man or woman or child in any relationship mix.
