Song Description
The premise of this song is the secret life of Robert Philip Hanssen, an American FBI agent convicted in 2001 of spying for the Russians for nearly 25 years while working at the FBI. He was never suspected of espionage due to his dedication, work-ethic, devout catholocism, family values, etc.
This song questions just how well we know the people around us. Most likely, there are many Robert Hanssens out there living among us.

Lyrics
"Anybody Ever Really Know Anyone?"
© 2003 Andy Germak
My name is Robert Philip Hanssen
At first glance I look a little bit like you
I've had the same haircut for years
Sometimes I wear the same suit
Two days in a row
You might think you know me
But there's so much more...
Anybody ever really know anyone?
Anybody ever really know anyone?
Anybody ever really know anyone?
My name is Robert Philip Hanssen
Special circumstances promted me to act
Let's see you try to put your children
Through a catholic school
While workin' nine to five
You might think you know me
But there's so much more...
Anybody ever really know anyone?
Anybody ever really know anyone?
Anybody ever really know anyone?
I'm ashamed that we have to meet this way
But this is who I am... who I am...
My name is Robert Philip Hanssen
I take chances when it comes to pleasing god
Just like Iscariot I've lackadaisically forgotten
How to hide my greed
You might think you know me
But there's so much more...
Anybody ever really know anyone?
Anybody ever really know anyone?
Anybody ever really know anyone?
Anybody ever really know anyone?
Anybody ever really know anyone?
