Story Behind The Song
The song was inspired after studying the statistics on the suicide attempts from the Golden Gate Bridge (GGB) in San Francisco. The suicidal attempts by jumping of the GGB occur almost every other week. The GGB authorities stopped to count and to register the number of suicides in 1995, after it reached 1000 people. Only a dozen of people survived the jumping of the bridge and almost all of them became disabled after their suicidal attempts. One of the efforts to decrease the number of suicides from the GGB was proposed by the Board of Directors as to build barriers that would make it more difficult to commit a suicide. However, the barrier will not solve the problem, but would merely divert the suicide attempts to another modality. A psychological help to suicidal people may make a bigger difference in reducing the number of desperate people. The walkways along the bridge have some signs with telephone number and are asking potential suicidal people to call the number for psychological help. The song is supposed to re-enforce the message of getting a psychological help in depressions or other forms of personal disturbances.

Lyrics
Jump for Life
Bridge:
The Golden Gate Bridge
The Golden Gate Bridge is in smog
And your own life is in fog
You are on the rock.. oh
V.1.:
You are walking the ridge
On the most famous bridge
Ready to fly away
On a beautiful day
The feelings are strong
Your days are so long (Everything?s going wrong)
Unsatisfied
Although you tried
Ch.1:
Devil?s toll (Damn it all)
Useless tears
Madness fears
Have to stop
Make a call
Pick up the phone
We can help
There?s hope
Jump for Life (5)
V.2.:
It?s not over yet
Make another attempt
To conquer your stress and again
Get rid of the pain
Your fate?s in your hands
Don?t cut off the ends
Bungee cord is your string
Your safety net ring
Ch.2:
Your free fall (Damn it all)
Flying spree
Insecurity
Have to stop
Make a call
Pick up the phone
We can help
There?s hope
Jump for life (4)
Ch. 2: (Repeat - Variations)
