Story Behind The Song

I started talking to this girl in December of 2005, and the more we talked, the more friends around me were warning me about this girl - what she's done in the past, what kind of girl she is, etc. - to the point where I got extremely frustrated because all I wanted to do was hang out with this girl and spend some time with her without everyone getting in the way. The idea for the main riff on the guitar came in January, but the lyrics and the main hook/chorus didn't come until March (And it feels so, so motivating, to prove them wrong) This song holds a special place in my heart because it describes word for word how I was feeling about my situation with that girl (which is sometimes hard for me to do in song)

Despite the concern of others, the protagonist of the song goes on a "hunt" (if you will) for this girl who has caught his attention in the hopes that he can lure her over to him for a dance for everyone to see
