Story Behind The Song
Wytold composed "American Dreams" on napkins during a flight from Los Angeles to Baltimore. He was returning from a long rock climbing trip in Joshua Tree National Park. At the time, Wytold was entering his last year of college and pondering what comes next, but felt optimistic and confident.
Song Description
"American Dreams" is the first track of Wytold's debut album, "When Fulvio Finds Celeste", which was partially funded by a Young Artist Grant from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
Wytold performs all of the different strings parts live on a six-string electric cello through live looping (see a live video on Youtube).
