Lyrics

I have a right
To my own mind
I have a right
To my own life
I have a right
To my own sight
I have a right
To be wrong, and to be right

I have a right
To my own song
I have a right
To belong
I have a right
To be weak or strong
I have a right
To be right, and to be wrong

(Chorus)
It is my right
To not be left
Without the love of those friends for which I am blessed
Sometimes I scream
Sometimes I fight
Sometimes I cry to let you know I have the right

I live my life
For every day
I say hello
To friends along way
And on my path
As I enlight
I realize things are more wrong
Than they are right

(Chorus 2)
It is your right
To not be left
Without the love of those friends for which you are blessed
Sometimes you scream
Sometimes you fight
Sometimes you cry to let us know you have the right

(solo)

Sometimes the world
It makes me doubt
What the darkness we can't see
Is all about
But then my friends
Offer me light
Whatever's wrong is gone
With them it all seems right

(Chorus 3)
It is our right
To not be left
Without the love of those friends for which we are blessed
Sometimes we scream
Sometimes we fight
Sometimes we cry because you know we have the right
Sometimes we cry because you know we have the right
Sometimes we cry because you know we have the right

Nice rhythms, like the guitar line and the bass line, nice melody.

An excellent tune with awesome lyrics, really dig it, because this tells about FREEDOM, and that's what's it all about. The line, "I have a right to be wrong" is a gem and a real keeper that makes this song soar. The electric guitar solo is quite nice, and mixes well with the steel drums. Great work.

Love the feel of the song - it makes me happy & takes away the tired body at the end of the day & replaces it 'with foot-tapping and washing away a difficult day! Got a smile on my face!!
Very relaxing!

Dig the message/lyrics!

Nice arrangement, the lyrics are superb! Pleasing application of reggae style.

Hi guys - nice song, really nice. Catchy hook and nice sentiment. Musically, the drums and percussion are great and lovely guitar work. Perhaps a little more work on the lead vocal and maybe consider introduction of another instrument or musical melody to lift the chorus. But overall I enjoyed it and thanks for putting it up there.

I enjoyed this track very much. The opening had me moving immediately. There is standard instrumentation, but I thought the written parts interacted will and created a nice movement. In general, I liked the vocal production. I thought the verse melody and chorus melody contrasted in a pop-sensible way. That is, I definitely felt myself "lift" into the chorus. I liked the repetition in the lyrics. I didn't have to struggle to understand the song and it's message. Very clear message. There are elements of the mix that I absolutely loved. I loved the bold mix placement of the female harmony at the end of the first and second chorus. And I loved the hard panned guitar solo. I also thought the ending was very cool -- threw me off in a good way. Very well done!
