Story Behind The Song

The music came out of where all of my music springs; practice. I always sit down with the intent of practicing, but as I the two scales I actually know, something usually jumps out, often out of a mistake. I wanted to capture the feeling I get out of Rush and Boston guitar where there is more intricacy in the expression of a single cord, more to the progression between chords than moving the hand. The lyrics (coming) are what is on my mind all the time even before I had kids of my own. I care deeply for the future of life and like Neil Pert states; "we can only grow the way the wind blows". A major component of what is blasted in our faces daily is meant to sell us something. It will say whatever it must to make us pay money for some worthless thing. This kind of stimulous is utterly distorting and needs to be counter balanced with an honest expression. Our youth have fantastic hearts and minds. they need respect, not credit cards.
