Story Behind The Song

I like songs with nonsense syllables in the hook such as Diddy-Wah-Diddy and it seemed natural to combine this concept with a Bo Diddley beat. Add Eddie Cochran-style vocals and some wordplay and you have Dum Diddy.

Song Description

This song is especially appealing to pre-adolescents although all ages respond well to it's humor and energy. It is self-satirizing but works equally well when taken at face value.
