Story Behind The Song
I scribbled this as I sang it, while I was waiting for the kettle to boil. It literally 'wrote itself'. I then returned with the tea to a group I was running for songwriting for older people, for the University of the 3rd age (U3A) in Bournemouth, Dorset, UK and sang it to them.
Song Description
This is typically how I feel about my marriage and husband. We are two opposites, rarely agree on anything except to amicably disagree. We met aged 17 and 18, married aged 22 and 23 and have just celebrated our 48th wedding anniversary. We may not agree on much but we remain madly in love and young at heart. I also love a great cup of tea and he makes me one frequently.
