Story Behind The Song
Born of my own somber mood in reflection of the turbulent political atmosphere wafting across the country. This original piece is my first substantial effort as I work to teach myself to play piano! It was intended to represent the beauty and majesty of a democratic-nation's patriotism, soul of its people and the ever-present struggle to maintain integrity and FREEDOM for its citizens.

Emperor Montezuma was the last independent ruler of the Aztec empire before the fall of that civilization at the hands of Spanish invaders under Hernando Cortez in the 16th century.
