Story Behind The Song
It was my birthday, May 5 1978 I was turning 18 here in Boulder Colorado and it snowed 3 feet! I shacked up in my little bedroom and wrote this song. First on my acoustic guitar - then using two old tape recorders - bouncing back and forth adding bass, and other guitar parts. I was very influenced by Pat Metheny at the time.
