Story Behind The Song
It is just one of the riffs that won't get out of your head. One day I was coming out of a restaurant, and saw there sign. I scratched my head and said there is a song in that. I started humming a little tune and then some lyrics. For the next couple of months all I could get was the first line. Then a friend said maybe gravy. I like Chicken and biscuits were born.

Lyrics
I Like Chicken and Biscuits
Lyrics and Music by: Gregory E. Finch 07/11/2014
(Chorus)
I like chicken and biscuits with a little hash brown Maybe with a little gravey spread it all around I like them chicken and biscuits, it's the best in this town.My Momma used to make-um from sun-up till sun-down.
1. We would go to school, then come back and work Knew that momma was making our favorite dessert,I like them chicken and biscuits, with a glass of sweet tea,I like them chicken and biscuits, it was heaven to me.
(Chorus)
2. Getting ready for Sunday meeting, and the breaking of bread,I like them chicken and biscuits, what else can be said,I like them chicken and biscuits, they will melt in your mouth,I like them chicken and biscuits, they were born here in the south.
(Chorus)
I like chicken and biscuit with a little hash brown,Maybe with a little gravey, spread it all around,I like chicken and biscuits, it's the best in this town. My Momma used to make-um from sun-up till sun-down.
3. If you're ever here in the south, and want to have a good meal,Order you some chicken and biscuits, you'll know just what I mean,I like them chicken and biscuits, I could have them every meal, My Momma used to make-um, from sun-up till sun-down,
(Close)
