Story Behind The Song
Whenever I go to clubs I see women constantly being bothered by men while they are on the dancefloor having a good time. I found this to be untactful and disrespectful to the women and I thought I'd write a song about it.
Song Description
This song is meant to celebrate women in all their beauty and is about respecting them as they enjoy themselves.

Furthest Star:

Verse 1:
There you are,
I?ve been watching you all night,
You move your body through the lights,
That seem to hypnotize,
No one else in the room for me,
A floating beacon in a sea of black,
Sometimes looking up,
As to stair at God,
He?s probably looking back,
And here I am,
Cynical and damaged from the world,
A spite that?s eating me alive,
But in this moment,
I remember how special we can be,
Such a perfect example,
As the shadows slide down you,
Chorus:
Because when you dance,
You?re like a moving masterpiece,
Swaying to the music, a work of art,
All my thoughts want to touch you,
But I can appreciate the finer things,
watching from a distance,
Like the furthest star,
Verse 2:
Everyone has an agenda,
To consume beauty at all cost,
A curse for you it seems,
But I understand these things,
And everyone wants to own you,
But you deserve to be left in peace,
Enjoying your moment with the sound,
As it swerves around you,
Chorus:
Because when you dance,
You?re like a moving masterpiece,
Swaying to the music, a work of art,
All my thoughts want to hold you,
But I can appreciate the finer things,
watching from a distance,
Like the furthest star,
And I try to look away,
But my eyes betray me,
Your hands drift down like leaves,
On a whispered wind I see,
A star all dressed in black,
Now catches a glimpse at me,
Maybe I?m shining too,
Under my bruises?
Chorus:
Because when you dance,
You?re like a moving masterpiece,
Twisting to the music, a work of art,
All my thoughts want to know you,
But I can appreciate the finer things,
watching from a distance,
Like the furthest star
