Story Behind The Song
Written BEFORE the 2003 Grammy show. I wrote another song AFTER the show. This was inspired by Dolly Parton. I was watching a documentary on her right before the Grammys and they said she'd published thousands of songs. I only had a few so I though I'd better get crackin! :D This one has lots of universal appeal.
Song Description
Lament of a love lost. Universal though. Can be about a lost lover, family member, any loved one. Perfect for post September 11th. Many people are looking for music to help them heal and cope with mourning. Life-affirming song. Appeals to a wide range audience.

Lyrics
Verse 1
In my heart lives the memory of the love we once shared
In my dreams lives the song I wrote for you
Though you've gone and you've left me
Oh I'll never forget
All the love that I gave it all to you
Chorus
As time moves along
As I sing you this song
As today fades away to yesterday
Our love it lives on
Though it seems that its gone
I will love you til my dying day
Verse 2
All the nights that I held you
All the days that we shared
I remember as I look in to the skies
I hung on every word that came out of your mouth
What we shared is forever in my eyes
Chorus
As time moves along
As I sing you this song
As today fades away to yesterday
Our love it lives on
Though it seems that its gone
I will love you til my dying day
I will love you til my dying day
