Story Behind The Song
This song was written in lieu of a speech when my husband was to speak at his sister's wedding. As a gift, we allowed the couple to "produce" this song in the studio.
Song Description
A vocal jazz tune done in the style of the standards, but with definitively modern harmonies. The song speaks of the moment of saying "I do" at a wedding.

Lyrics
Such simple words, such tiny nothing words. Ones that easily flow from the lips... roll off the fingertips like they mean nothing at all. But when it's time, nothing's neater. When it's time, nothing's sweeter.
Little girls around the world, while trying on their mother's shoes, do hope and pray to hear someday what I need to say to you.
Little boys from everywhere, with spots of mud on their brand new suits, say they don't care 'bout such affairs. I don't think that could be true.
Take my hands into yours. I fear that they might shake. Wrap me up in your arms, I think I might faint! I'm ready now. Darling, are you? And so here it goes.... I DO!
Here we are, a single gal right beside a single man. So, now let's change that lonely way. You may have my single hand.
