Story Behind The Song

This is a song about My Dear Friend Mother Mary DiPaolo. Poor Mary. She had the misfortune to become terminally and painfully ill at the wrong time and place. Her loving and devout family wouldn't dream of encouraging assisted suicide. She died a long, painful death. This is about the way I wish it could have been. In a way, it's my first love song. Anyway, this one's dedicated, with love, to the memory Mother Mary, whom I adored.
