Story Behind The Song
This is a song about the struggle of one's inherent personality and thirst for something beyond, composed as a conversational singer-songwriter song. It's based on a real conversation with a close friend on a beautiful summer evening in the south of Spain and my simple advice to her to bring happiness back to her life "be the way you are" and not someone you're trying to be. The musical essence of the song, inspired by the Spanish Flamenco music playing in a distance that evening, mixes my western songwriting style with Spanish guitars and Indian classical Tabla pulse.

Turn around
there you go again ..... ¤ there you go again, spillin' all your troubles to me. be the way you are, is what you say you're tryin' to be? change your situation, save your reputation, stop makin' up the face you're wearin' out - turn around ¤ what you can't give up is the easy life you're leadin'. all your luxury doesn't bring the high you're needin' change your situation, save your reputation, ain't no way to carry on, carry on. life is so frustratin', fun isn't there for takin', stop makin' up the face you're wearin' out - turn around ¤ don't you think i know, he pays your bills, displays an' owns you. got no love to show, money's all you're hangin' on to change your situation, save your reputation, ain't no way to carry on, carry on. life is so frustratin', fun isn't there for takin', stop makin' up the face you're wearin' out - turn around ¤ there you go again
