Story Behind The Song

Christiana Clark got the idea both musically and lyrically for "Realize" when she was 17. She was dating a very nice boy that made a lasting impression on her and gave her the opportunity to look upon things from his perspective. It was a maturing experience to realize that the people you associate with can make a lasting impression on your developing view-points. This song was recorded by the all-girl sister band 8 Brown Eyes. Christiana (19) is the lead singer and guitarist, Oakley (18), background vocals, plays bass guitar. Summer (15), background vocals, is the awesome drummer. Madeleine (13), background vocals is the keyboardist.

Song Description

"Realize" is a unique love song. It goes though the developement of a relationship...from the beginning stages of initial connection, physical and emotional attraction and fun. It expresses the importance this girl attaches to being appreciated for who she is and how this person makes her feel about herself. The last verse questions the possibility of a future with this person, but even if there is no future, she realizes that this person has affected who SHE is and who she is becoming. She is glad to have had the relationship no matter how it ends up.
