We are a rock band based in Sydney, Australia. Shadowary is currently unsigned and is looking for members to complete the lineup. A 5-track debut EP has also been planned and is in the works.

Benny Ng - vocalist

Music was certainly Benny's first love. It started when his father took him on his first trip to the cinema to watch the Disney animation - "Beauty and the Beast". He remember being enchanted by the music of the film and soon was eager to discover more Disney soundtracks as they were released. He would sit in front of the cassette player and let landscapes form in his head as the music reached his young ears.

Although Benny wouldn't receive musical training until much later in life, he wrote his first lyric to the music of Kenny G, for the purpose of completing a school assignment. The song was written for a plant in a pot. He received a 10 out of 10 for this assignment. Benny was also no stranger to performing in public for an audience of up to a few hundred people. He would regularly take part in speech giving competitions and emerged as the first place winner on most occasions.

At age 17, Benny started taking vocal lessons and decided soon after to pursue a career in music. He has been continually exposing himself to a wide range of genres, across a wide range of time periods - in order to deepen his passion for and understanding of music. He is working on his performance and composition skills diligently everyday; while undertaking classical guitar training to broaden his songwriting 'palette'. He entered the "Song of the Year" competition twice - October and December 2009 - and received 'honorable mention' awards for these two rounds. He is also enriching himself with the knowledge and skills of audio engineering and sound production. His willingness to build a solid foundation of musical knowledge and skills is proven by his completion of three different courses of study in music: Bachelor of Music (Performance), Graduate Diploma in Music (Pedagogy) and Diploma of Audio Engineering and Sound Production.

Benny is extremely determined to achieve success in the music industry as a performer and composer. For this reason, he is working hard to get Shadowary off the ground and into the hearts and minds of music listeners everywhere.
